Portraits/people and low light? I have a 40D and some good glass and am thinking of an additional body with a budget of £1K. I have read threads and reviews on every camera known up to and including the 7D.
When I started photography I wasn't sure what I wanted to photograph and consequently took shots of almost anything. Over time its become clear from the stuff that I do [for fun] that its mainly people! So I am thinking of another body, no objections to s/h.
I have thought about a 5D MK1 but am a little bothered by the small screen.
For glass I have 24-70L, 70-200L F4, 85 1.8, 50 1.4, siggy 10-20. I would appreciate some summative guidance cos I am confused!

Cheers,

Dunc

A 5D would do you nicely for people and portraits :)

Dont forget the Fuji S5 or even the S3 for portraits, very capable studio cameras

You seems to have the right lenses and a decent camera. Could it be technique? How are you photographing people (candids/street)?

5D has a small lcd, but dont let that put you off as its good for low light photography plus its well within your budget, the other suggestion would be 1d-N mk2 which has a better lcd than 1d mk2.
