Don't know if you are experimenting with processing but these both look a bit soft.
Second one looks like a wide aperture as there is a patch in the water that looks quite sharp but the foreground flower and boat do not.
The bit of bush top right in the first one needs chopping down but otherwise they are both nice compositions.

Thanks for the comment Robert. Yes, I have to admit, these setting were careless. It's what happens when you're walking along the waterfront talking with your partner with the camera in P mode just enjoying life!
