When I took my shot, I honestly thoguht I was in with a good shout, but it just goes to show how much you need to raise your game for this.

Wow, thanks everyone! I have to give credit for the idea for my Lines photo to my 11 year old daughter, Lauren. I was completely stuck for an idea for this round of the competition and, in the car one day Lauren asked what I was so deep in thought about. "I'm trying to think of something original for this months competition, the theme is Lines" I said. Without even pausing for thought she came back with - "Well take a photo of your hand then daddy". Thanks for the votes everyone you've made an 11 year old girl (and her dad) very happy :)

Thanks for the vote Sir! I have to say I did struggle with the background. I tried a few different ones and couldn't really decide which worked best. With hindsight I think you're right, a darker one would perhaps be better

ppp personally i think yours might have looked a bit better hand written, just looks like it has been printed out and it looks like a few people had similar ideas maybe that had something to do with it.

True, thought it may look cleaner printed with the DOF and PP but it's all a good learning curve, certainly were some cracking enteries (sp) this round. It's good to see so many people entering.
