i would never think of taking a picture of something like this, very cool
Neither would I. It's not one for the wall but wherever you look, there's little details to study - I'm still noticing new things, and that's on my third look at it!
Thumbs up from me :)
The truth is this is less than 5 minutes from where I live and I've regularly walked past it for months, and not given it a second glance. The other afternoon as I walked past, the wall was bathed in sunshine which made it come alive and I was struck by the colours and textures there. I shot home and got the camera, but by the time I got back clouds were covering the sun and it looked quite dull. I hung around looking like a pervert of some description no doubt, when after about ten minutes, the sun dutifully broke through and I got one shot before it disappeared again.
Not my sort of thing at all normally.

What do you think made you see this besides the sun as you have walked past it many time previously? I always try to view everything with fresh eyes but still miss shots that I later realise I should have seen, that is so annoying

I know what you mean Steve, I think probably the arrival of the 20D too, has kick started my interest and has really sharpened up the way I look at things. It wont last probably.
How long have you had the 20D now CT?

A couple of weeks or so effectively . The first body was faulty and it took a week to get it exchanged. I was climbing the walls!!
