Help!!!

This is an enlarged image that I took last night, and I want to sharpen it and get rid of the noise. Is there a tutorial anywhere that shows me how? I use PS7, or isn't it possible?:thinking: :thinking:

Looking at it Aidy ... and I am not an expert but I would say that you will not sharpen that to any acceptable degree ... looks like camera shake has interfered ... :shrug:

However ... if it's any consolation there does not appear to be that much noise in the pic posted ... :thinking:

Either way photoshop allows you to do both fairly easily ... just select them from the drop downs and give it a go ... probably in the order Noise and then Sharpen ... :D

Ven's right, it's not going to sharpen up into the picture you probably want it to be. He's also right that it looks pretty noise free, which is pretty good.

You can deal with noise and sharpening with PS but the trouble there is that the PS noise filters are quite crude and tend to have the effect of softening the shot. If you then go and sharpen the image you get most of the noise back and a not very sharp picture.

If you get alot of noise problems then it may be worth your while to look at getting a more specific and sophisticated solition like Noise Ninja

That's way too soft to sharpen acceptably. I find for good moon shots you need a good solid tripod. It's a lot brighter than you think - start with a shutter speed of around 1/125 at f8 or f11 and adjust exposure from there. :)
