So TerraS, another mate of ours and myself took a trip to Liverpool yesterday. We split up for most of the day but as we were heading back to the car we saw a small heard of Cowgirls. I just knew I had to take their picture no matter how nervous I was. While I was waiting for my camera to finish the 30 second exposure of them, as I forgot to change the settings, another larger heard came around the corner. I couldn't believe it. I ran down the street to get infront of them, very pap style, and took a load of pictures. Annoyingly, just as the cutest girl walked infront of me my 10D said "Haha, you ain't taking this shot as my buffer is full". I missed it :( Still I'm happy with the shots I got which are here;

The foreground is a bit distracting on that one. It was the first shot I took and I just wanted to take their picture before they all hide :)

I didn't ask them, but they were laughing and seemed to enjoy it. I doubt they would be walking through Liverpool on a Saturday dressed as they were if they didn't want attention :) One girl did stick 2 fingers up at me, but I'm sure she was just playing to the camera. She walked right upto the lens and right passed me as close as possible. Probably just testing me. I'm really a shy person, but when it comes to photography I would hate to miss something simply because I might go red.

Stats wise;

Canon 10, 50mm lens. 1/2000 sec, f/1.8. Processing done in Photoshop using the Virtual Photographer plugin and the Photocopy preset, with a bit of tweaking of the shadows and highlights.

some kind of wedding party? or are all the girls up there a bit odd?

some nice looking gals there , most likely a line dancing compo in your area, brave shots prefer the colour ones most.

I think I saw one wearing a sash. Probably saying "Bride to be" or something. They went into a posh Pizerrea and where then going to go off to party then night away I imagine.

I certainly was scared when that one girl walked right up to me. I thought she was going to do something frisky or worse :)
