Putting some more piccies into my new gallery and thought i would drop a couple into the forum. They are mundane everyday objects and their shadows!

I like them, particularly the paper clips.

They're nice. Great lighting. However, I do feel that they're a bit close to the edge of the frame. Just a smidge to the left to add some padding would make them perfect :)

Lighting was almost as simple as they come, 2 b+w's were lit with one tungsten light, and the 2 colour ones were lit with my bedside lamp, with maybe a little blanking!

I have to agree with most of the comments above, these are good shots but they could have been excellent by adding a bit more space around the subjects. I like the lighting that you have used and also the angles and camera control. The one shot that I really like as it has been shown here is the last folk shot, this is a very good shot in its own right.

Thanks for your comments guys, i've got a feeling all the crops were done in photoshop and not in camera, so i will grab the originals and re-crop them giving the subject a little more space!

First post here..

I like these. Nice and simple, yet look they good and convey what you wanted well. Agreed about the cropping though. Interested to see the re-cropped versions.

May have to keep you waiting a little while on that one, but i will get round to it. :)

Now you are just being a tease

Looks like i was being a bit of a tease, have just had a look at the black and white ones and there is only a fraction more around the edges, so not worth re-showing, i did find this on in amongst them though. No doubt suffers from the same problem, but what the hey!

I still need to re-check the colour ones so maybe able to re-show them with more space.

Mental note, shoot wide and crop later if in doubt! Think i gave this advice to someone else yesterday, just me being a hypocrite i guess. Should practice what i preach!

I like the drawing pin one. The others aren't too bad, but seem a bit too tightly cropped. The forks one reminds me of Most Haunted for some reason!

The second fork one does have a bit of a menacing look to it.
