Comments / criticisms as always welcome
Yes I know I dropped a huge ghooly, by not removing the collars but "Charlie" is rather camera shy He was playing and I managed a few shots before he realised :)
And no he doesn't "Earn" his living he is a whimp

A beautiful dog indeed. From a photographic point of view, the whites are blown out in every one....try partial metering on the white bit and upping your exposure a bit.

Don't beat yourself up over the exposure problems. Animals with black or white fur areas are really difficult. I still have only a few 'decent' shots of our black cat and we have had him over a year now :)

The dog has a bit of a 'fill flash' look about him. When done right it can be great for lightening the shadows but a bit too much and you get the 'cut out picture held in front of a background' look - which I see in some of these.

Good effort and cute subject but maybe try it in softer light without fill flash (assuming you did use it).

Thanks Robert Yes I did use a "fill in"
The pic with the Charlie chewing the stick is probabley the best colour guide to his face.
If I remember correctly, ( I must start writing this stuff down) I didn't use a fill in on that one
