Mounting a flash gun on a tripod

I want to be able to mount a flash gun on a tripod. I've got a Metz 54 MZ4 and people keep trying to sell me a £30+ item for doing wireless stuff but all I want is a manual slave flash so surely there's some sort of generic ISO mount with a screw thread in the bottom.

If you know what I'm babbling on about can you send me a link to one please?

If that plate triggers the flash, cover the base with pvc tape.
