Having an issue here! So any help gratefully received........

Just bought this lens secondhand and it works fine on my friends D70, and it focuses etc on my D100. However it overexposes by equiv. of c 3 stops. and then the camera comes up with 'err' message on the D100 body. My body works fine with all my other lenses and my friends lenses. Just appears that this lens and my camera can't talk!

Any ideas............

Many thanks in advance
James

Have you tried setting the aperture on the lens to 2.8?

I had the same issue on a D200 with my Sigma 120-300. Once I read the leaflet which says put the lens aperture to f2.8 for certain Nikon shooting modes the "err" message went away and it worked fine.

HTH :)

Cheers, I'll contact Sigma and see about getting it re-chipped!
Thanks
