The first is a crop without the 1.4 (I think ), but the other two pics are with the 1.4 TC Steve.

Very nice! :) I have only just got home, time to start download all my pics before I go out and try and shoot the moon :)

I just got home too (we stopped for dinner) and I'm on file 63 of 300 to download. Hopefully I got some decent ones. I'm loving that Ostrich shot and the giraffe. And you lucky duck I never got to see more than a stripe of the tiger.

I noticed the moon on the drive home it looks huge, and the sky looks clear also.

Thanks for all the comments, it was a good day out and pleasure to meet everyone  As the light was so good, I took the opportunity to give my 1.4TC a proper try out fitted to the 100-400. Not entirely sure it was that successful, but I'm more than pleased with how my TrekPod (http://www.trek-tech.com/) and it's quick-release magnetic mount coped with the combined weight of all my gear.

Did quite get a shot of your Trekpod in action, can just see it in this shot though:

It did seem to be really usefull! didnt know the legs came out at the bottom though!

Very nice shots. Especially like the tiger with what looks like heat waves coming from him

The legs do splay out at the bottom of the TrekPod Tom, but the combined weight of my gear would topple it over ;). I have tried it with a lighter combination of gear, and to be honest it really needs to be a very calm day, as the slightest bit of wind does tend to make it sway.

I see what you mean, it does look like a heat haze. I think it's the bokeh on the mesh of the enclosure. Though I could be wrong :)
