I think I have a plan which I will stick to but there's no harm in listening to others who know far more than what I do so,
In the cupboard:
40D & grip
5D Mk1 & grip
1D MkII
future arrival:
1Ds
The plan is to keep the 1D bodies and say cheerio to the 40D & 5D.
Right now the 1D MkII is days old to me so I'm somewhere on a learning curve and liking it a lot.
Of the other two the 5D is my favourite which suggests I should let the 40D go. I hope that the FF 1Ds will completely replace the 5D in my affections in the future.
OTOH should I consider keeping the 40D so that I've then got FF, 1.3 x sensor and 1.6 x sensor bodies.
On principle I am not keeping four bodies. On matters more practical there is cashflow to be considered.
All thoughts & suggestions gratefully accepted.
