Hi everyone,

I am looking for a photography bag, which will last me for a long time. Preferably a sling one, or maybe a backpack. I have seen this:
http://news.deviantart.com/article/101013/?utm_source=deviantart&utm_medium=newsarticle&utm_campaign=DA_DW_DP_CameraBag_1125409

And I absolutely LOVE that bag, but with it being from America, there is a huge postage cost, and of course it is quite expensive in the first place. I would love something that style though. Preferably I would like something that looks quite fashionable look and not huge and bulky.

Any advice guys???

Bart

What's your budget and what's your typical gear set-up, which you will be carrying in the bag?

Ok, my budget is quite low. I mean I am hoping to get as cheap as possible of course, however I understand that it might be a problem. I am looking at about £40 -£50 max for this bag. I don't mind second-hand either. At the moment, I usually carry a Canon 40D with a 50mm f/1.8 and a 55-250mm IS lens, with about 5 odd filters, a couple of CF cards, a cloth and a couple more bits and bobs, but I am hoping for this bag to last me for longer, since I am planning on expanding this kit.

Something like a Lowepro Slingshot 200 would suit you. (I can get a gripped D300 with 16-85 VR lens, plus another 3 lenses, plus SB-600 flash, plus all the 'bits')

I think I paid £25 all in for mine a year ago s/h...

:plusone: for the LowePro Slingshot 200, if you need to squeeze a bit more then the 100 ought to do you just fine given your gear and accessories.

Personally, the smaller the bag, the happier I am.

What about the Slingshot 300??? That looks great! I mean the lowepro series are a little bulky sometimes, but I like the 300. I mean do you guys have any experience with that one?

The 300 is a bit bulky, if you're happy with it then it too is an excellent option.

WHE (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/search/?q=slingshot) have the 300 and 200; both seem to be slightly above your price range, but I am sure you can shop around and find them at better prices!

Ok, well I think I will have a look for a 300AW, and maybe keep an eye out in the classifieds forum. I think that it looks the best option at the moment. Of course if anyone has any other suggestions, they are more than welcome!

Yeah, thanks a lot. I will have a look on Ebay, but first I will keep an eye out on TP, since I do prefer to buy from here ;)
