View Full Version : No Curry in Germany
As it says - there are no decent curry houses within a 300-km radius of my location.
Since I'll be back in UK for Easter leave (2nd -16th April) does anyone fancy meeting up for a spicy one?
Since I'm now an orphan again and reliant on parents and relatives for accommodation, I may be on the scrounge for a sofa afterwards as well.
South / South East England preferred. Maybe Reading as before.

But for heavens sake - unless you want a half-naked Arkady standing over you with a pistol to your bonce to be the first thing you see when you open your eyes in the morning - smokers need not apply ;)

The nakedness or the pistol ????

Could well be up for that Rob  need to check a couple of things around that time but hopefully should be ok.
See Jon, I'm prepared to risk Arkady's pistol in my ear

What do you mean no curry in Germany, its about time you showed them what they are misssing! Curry followed by German beer sounds like a perfect way to spend an evening.
I had booked a weekend in Germany in July to watch the grand prix :woot: :woot: , just as well I'm not bring Grendal and Bubbs along, one of them couldn't survive a weekend without curry!!! well thats my excuse for not inviting them

I have actually once gone 5 days without a curry :)

Wasn't that when you had your wisdom tooth out and therefore couldn't eat anything?
On christmas day do you have a turkey and all the trimmings or a turkey vindaloo :woot:

I just sit here polishing the Luger with a Jack Nicholson 'Here's Johnny!' look on my face.
It'll be good to get back to civilised society.
I'll finalise details with you all nearer the time, but I'll be as flexible as I can.

Whatever - with Arkady polishing his pistol i can't think straight:suspect:
Going to see if Kata's other, more specialised products are as good as their rain-cover ;)
They do very good body-armour I'm told. Should be OK from an Israeli company...

  You call this lot civilised? ;)
I'd be up for a curry night out, dependant on work etc.
I can feel Southern Curry Night III coming on :woot:
For those of you whose Moby's I have, I'll ring around when back in UK.
I'll Post prior to my return and we'll try to finalise a date.
Boys and Girls, I hate to be a charity case, but I need to do this. This place is sucking the life out of me at the moment. The photo job today was a bl00dy car-boot sale FFS! On a Sunday! So on top of everything my weekend was screwed as well...
I just finished unpacking the last of my MFO bxes and found all my old press-clippings from my previous post:
11 UK front pages (9 Broadsheet, 2 red-top)
2 US front pages
23 UK insiders (17 half-page images)
12 international insiders
I'm doing really sh*t jobs here and it hurts. There's precious little Kudos to be had photographing Charity Dinner nights for the Garrison Newspaper.
F*** Me, I need a Hug.
Bloody hell Rob .... that is demoralising :gag:
Dunno if I could get that far south myself but, I hope that those who live in the vicinity all get together and give you a curry night to remember when you get back here!
In the mean time hold tight & have a hug mate!
Cheers Mate.
And you're right about Black - it's the New Black.
Christ - I can understand you being down. A car boot sale is enough to have that effect on anyone. I'd have possibly been up for the curry too if it hadn't been while we're away on hols. :(
Oh well, have a  anyway.

Sounds rough mate. But, there's light at the end of the tunnel and a curry to come soon (if Bev hasn't eaten it all by then - which is quite possible from what I've witnessed recently)

Well, you can have a hug

Careful with those - I might not let go the way I feel right now.
He's doing well here - four hugs in the last three posts! ;)
I don't do man hugs mate so how about some bad ideas instead?
How's about finding a studio and doing some photography for yourself to cheer you up, or worst case scenario, volunteering for another OOA? Desperate times and all that mate.
Sorry to hear what a crap time you're having over there Rob :( With your skills I can only imagine how demoralising it must be, being sent to photograph a car boot FFS :(

Sounds good - now that we have a 'Grot' forum, I need some new material to play with.
I'll have a scout round. Any preferences for locations? South is best as I'll be travelling from London to Exeter during my leave period.
Bad idea number 3. Update your myspace site, those bootsale pics could come in handy after all:thumbs:
