Well we are a month into our NEW photography club and I thought that I would give you fine folks an update on how things were going.

I am VERY pleased to say that in the first month the feedback has been excellent and already have over 20 fully paid up members which is beyond our original expectations.

Interestingly many of the members are Digital SLR users though we have a few compact users who are equally welcomed, a couple of compact users have already caught the bug and are considering the purchase of Digital SLR's in the future. We have steered them all to this site to keep an eye on the classifieds though if anyone is looking to sell EOS 300d or 350d cameras please email me as I am sure there are a couple of intersted parties within our club.

To summarise our first month:

Week One - Meet and Greet and Outline of the NEW Club
Week Two - Understanding your digital camera and its functions
Week Three - An excellent presentation by a local Wildlife Photographer
Week Four - Still Life Practical night

All of these events have been attended by over 30 people and we are seeing new faces who are interested in joining on a weekly basis.

Next week we have our first assignments review night, on the first night members were given the theme of transoort to take and submit 3 photographs upon for review, hopefully we will see some good early work.

We also have our website operational now, why no take a look at www.webheathdpc.co.uk the forum went live today, why not leave us a message.....

I hope that the plans for the Southern Clubs are still going well, we are looking forward to our first "exchange"

Nice promotion again ****.

As **** has said the club is gathering pace and we have a full calendar of events going forward. Response from our members at the moment is very promising and as **** stated, more and more new faces are coming by word of mouth.

Looks like this club is hitting the spot at the right levels and is varied enough for all to be kept interested.

Well Done ****. Keep up the good work.
