I am attempting this year's 52 Project. I have been taking pictures for just over a year and I hope to see an improvement in my work as the year progresses.
I will endevour to post a picture every week on time as the weekly theme dictates, however due to me acting as my wife's carer 24/7 some times I may have to play catch up.
I look forward to making your aquaintences over the coming year. Good luck everyone entering this year.

Hi Andy
Big welcome from me. I hope you enjoy the 52 for 2010 as much as I've enjoyed the 2009 one. It's a great way to experiment and step out of your comfort zone. I'm carrying on next year, so I look forward to sharing comments with you. :)

Good luck to you too mate

Well not been able to get out due to my wife suffering a relapse with her MS due to the cold weather, so I hope this will do for my first effort.
When I get a little more experience using PP I hope to enhance my pictures more.
I hope you like, CC welcome.

Hi Andy,
Hope your wife's not suffering too badly. Fingers crossed that things will start warming up in the next couple of weeks.
At a first quick glance, I actually thought that was real! Had to go back and look at it again.
You've done really well to bring out the details in the carving and the colours in its back are fantastic - really catch your eye.
It's a lovely fit for the theme
I'm trying to think what you could do in PP to add to it, but I really like it just the way it is.
The only thing I might think about changing is the background. I think maybe a warmer yellow or orange would complement the colours in its back a bit better.
Sarah wasn't the only one to do a double take to check if it was real or not :)
Some very nice detail. The only little niggle I have is the harsh shadow cast on the background.
Not sure I like it but it definitely is curved. It did look real to me at first
good luck in your 52er
Andy, lovely colours and details in that, I'm another one who had to take a second look. It's clearly curved indeed.
Ahem... we're on week 7 now :)
