Just wondered if there is a good (cheaper) Nikon fit alternative to the SB600 flash... any advice / experiences welcome.

Thanks for quick responses... have looked at the specs. I am wondering how these differ in practical use / TTL performance to the SB600. Is the SB600 just inflated main manufacturer price, or is it actually better?

No doubt that the SB-600 is the better flash, it works with CLS and the plastics are better than either of the other two, but then it's four times the price, so it should be.....

Have you considered the Nissin Di622?

I bought it (the Canon fit version) after reading various favorable reviews online and it has served me well so far.

Have to say the SB-600 is a lovely piece of kit. No other alternative can compare (I've also got the SB-400 & Jessops 360).
