Hi everyone

Possibly stupid question time.

I have a Samsung GX1l with 18-55, 50-200 and fixed manual 55mm lenses.

What would this item do on each lens, and how does it make the lens better for macro photography?

I really like macro photography but in my ignorance I thought it was about getting up close to your subject and have had good results with my Ricoh CX1 compact and indeed the 18-55 lens.

Would this adapter also allow for autofocus? I guess not as the seller lists the focus type as manual?

Many thanks in advance

I'm not even sure what that thing is, but whatever it is, don't.

If you want to try macro on a budget, get a Raynox DCR-250 macro close-up attachment for £40 off Amazon. It will work great on your 18-55 lens, and even better on the 50-200. It is absolutely the cheapest way into decent quality macro.
