This one was taken using the Nikon TC-14E 1.4x teleconverter that I received today, as my normal Kenko one refused to AF with the new camera (odd as to why), anyway this new one is in a slightly different league in quality, and AF speed is almost as rapid as the bare lens (good going as it's dealing with f6.3 in total)
Sorry, boring garden birds at the moment... be off on a holiday a week saturday, so hopefully some more interesting birds in the pipeline. This male bird was getting food to present to the hen bird.... 'don't be a fool mate, eat it yourself'

Thanks guys. Actually Robins are very odd birds (besides being murderous little b******s), they have an amazing ability to look skinny one moment, then the next they look like Bill Bunter's fatter brother ;) Whatever, and like most Chat type birds, they always provide an excellent photogenic pose.

Sorry, I only do 800 wides and 768 portraits for my website and other galleries. Ah well, nice while it lasted and I'll still conribute on the site. No problems and i do understand :D
no probs, i think when judith chalmers returns we might have to look at the sizes again, more than a few members would prefer larger images, but ultimately it will be down to steve...

How about running a poll to see what screen resolutions people are running on... although you should know from the site stats what the current average is. I had presumed the 700pix size rule was for those uploading and using images from the galleries here, rather than off-site hosts, but maybe it buggers up the thread layout for some.
I was half-tempted to display this in 1024x768... so it could've been worse :D
cheers,
Andy
well 800 pixels dont bugger my screen, though it does the laptop, but then its very old....i know of a few members who would post but for the image sizes, so i think us admin types will be discussing this shortly.....
Lovely shot! - I like Robins, aggressive territorial little beggars.
