People keep managing to post thins sorta thing on my profile page.

eg:

"<A href="http://victoria-gift.com"><img src="http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/4545/2agj3heyq0.jpg"><BR>Like Victoria Secret? Then you will like getting a $500 CashGift Card! All ya gotta do is enter your zipcode like i did and you get a $500 Victoria Secret GiftCard * Check it out here!</a><style> input {display:none;** </style>"

I know this isnt something they are manually doing obviously. I just wonder what causes this to happen? Is it when people decide to "crapply pimp out their myspace" and it incorporates this sorta rubbish?

Really winds me up but then myspace is in desprate need of a re do.

Probably some automated spam bot, anywhere thats popular is going to get them...not sure what they can do to be honest. If they dont allow any HTML etc then they would a lot of people in favour of other sites which still would. Would be suprised if it the site "pimping" software that does it, as it would have to be a script that would look a bit out of place in some styling code (then again most people probably would just do a copy n paste) :(

I just hacked my page (http://myspace.com/petecarr) with CSS so it hides peoples comments :D

What happened is spam bots are whizzing through myspace randomly generating a password. If it gets into your personal page then it runs a program which sends out the annoying comments and it also posts bulletins under your name. An easy way to get rid of a spambot that got into your page would be to just change your password! That easy, haha. So just let your friends (who are posting these comments) change their password and they'll be all set.
