expensive option - 24-105 L at about £600
cheap option - Sigma 18-200 at around £225

An upgrade would range from £300-£1000, with andrewc's recommendation of the 24-105L. Very solid, reliable and sharp (apparently!).

Just so happens there's one for sale at the moment on TP, although I'd be quick as they're quite popular!

Could cost anything from a couple of hundred to a grand or more. Without knowing what your budget is, it's difficult to suggest a lens that doesn't fall outside what you are willing to spend.

ETA: Must learn to type quicker! ;)
