first off, well done, you're a braver man than me!!!

I like the shot, I like the dark background against the light of the snake.
The body is OOF which suits this perfectly

The only thing that keeps niggling me is the nose area. could there be more texture/definition there, at that point it looks almost a little soft or flat.

otherwise a lovely shot :thumbs:

The snake was pre-shed and so the skin does look different than normal and she was also sprayed with water so it covered by a film of it.

The pre shed would explain the flatness to the nose.

Years ago I used to keep some lizards and just before they shed they went almost grey as the old skin lifted from the new, so should probably have thought :bonk:

I do all my venomous reptile photography as nature intended ...one to one!

It all about knowing your subject.

beautiful colouring - I'll stick to keeping a non-venomous snake ta :)
