View Full Version : My Son in IR
Took this with Minolta Dimage 7 with Hoya 72 IR filter.
Turned saturation to zero to get the B&W finish, adjusted levels.

He he ... surreal! It looks almost solarized with that black outline.

Cracking shot, looks like a poster for a horror film!!!
Thats unreal. How much did the camera cost you? :) I would love to be able to do IR with a half decent shutter speed.
Thanks for commenting.
I like the way the eyes reflect back the IR.

I swapped some old pc bits for it, so it was quite cheap.
If you have a look at 2nd user cameras I'm sure one could be picked up quite cheap.
The model I have is the Minolta Dimage 7, not the H or Hi Version these have a different IR filter on the sensor and arn't as good for this type of photography.
There are some on ebay under £150.
I was going to say - more solarized than IR.
Spooky  He looks like someone off Dr Who  Really cool image
