It may just be me, the sky looks a little too light ?

Still a good pic though ! :)

Is the horizon meant to be at a slope? The bottom bit doesn't really help it either, the bottom left is a bit dark and empty if you know what I mean.

Love the sky :)

The main problem with this was the storm force winds that were blowing at the time, The tripod was levelled and weighted down. Thanks for the input all,

Better to have some light in the sky for 'night' shots - otherwise you're left with a huge expanse of black doing nothing.
I think the orange of the tungsten lighting is well balanced by the blue of the sky and all in all, this shot works well.
Just level up the horizon a bit will you?

No focal point... nothing of interest... not even a nice shape to the horizon. Imagine you took a pic from the same place during teh day.. would it look boring? If the answer is yes, then why are you taking it at night? The only thing interesting would be the time of day. WHy not find a location that would be knockout at ANY time, and then shoot that at night?

I think that's what's wrong with it.... it's not really a shot of anything.. it's not even sheffield city centre... it's just a shot of some lights. No focal point, no landmarks.. nothing of interest.

Shooting something at night doesn't make it interesting... if you wouldn't shoot it during daylight, why are you doing it at night?

Shooting this shot during the day would have probably worked better, there is the canal wharf, tram bridge over the parkway roundabout and several other landmarks but they do not show up well at night. I will continue to experiment with shots like this as that is how we grow as photographers.
P.S Thanks for all the feedback.
