2009 My Fav shot

For my 2000th post I thought I would pick my favourite image from last year. In late July we sat on that rare warm summers eve, in the local beer garden. I noticed one of the plants had been broken and fallen to the ground, picked it up and fetched home, flash used and background was our black leather suite. I think it came out quite well. Its a globe thistle.

A simply stunning floral shot against a very dark BG which shows the blue for what it is, a beautiful shade of the color.
The lightness of the central band show up well against the slightly darker petals above, and below, also IMHO the framing is spot on.

I can see why its your favorite image from last year, i to would be proud of it.

Great shot, lovely contrast between the blue and the black, i would probably have overlooked this and not seen it's potential, congrats on the 2000 posts.
