Hi

Just a quick one, can anyone tell me if the Kenko 1.4x or 2x Pro 300 DG Teleconverter will work with a Tamron 70-300mm Di LD Lens and if so, what sort of results can I expect ?

Thanks.

Anth.

Anth. In answer to part of your question the following is taken from a review over at nikonlinks.com
Note the Tamron PRO converters are identical to the Kenko Pro 300 converters. They are the same product, with a different label. These new converters can be identified by the markings SPAF (Tamron) or "Pro"(Kenko) on the case
You'd expect the TC to work well with a Tamron lens methinks
I have a Kenko Pro 300 1.4 which I use with my Nikon 70-300mm & AF works fine - As expected there is a one f stop loss & very slight almost not noticeable pq drop but I am very happy with mine ... Paul ;)

Never bought anything from one stop before ... what are they like with regards to delivery times and customs?

Been looking on ebay and a power seller called etefore with a very very good reputation and online shop has them for about £57 + £18 p&p. Just wondering who to buy from as both look good.

Anth - Delivery will be via HK Post & your postie this end and usually within 5 days - as far as customs they guarantee to reimburse any such charges & this is genuine as this happened to me (once in probably a dozen purchases btw & the only time I received something by courier) - I got charged duty & a courier fee so sent off my invoice & OneStop paid it in full as soon as they got it ..
.
Never heard of "etefore" - they do not guarantee to reimburse charges & state Custom fees, import duties, VAT/GST and/or other taxes may be imposed by your country and are payable by the buyer.

I know who I'd use ... Paul ;)
