Okay here is the deal.

in my 2nd hard drive (120gig)

I have 89 Gig of CR2 RAW files that is half well constructed which I used with RAW Shooter Premium. I want to fully move to lightroom now and I want to know how I go about moving all this data into lightroom. Im not one for making copies since the hard drive will overfill and copies with me usually results in loss.

if I make new folders within lightroom is it going to move the RAW's there or just copy them there. I need to know exactly what its going to do to ensure the safety of my current portfolio.

You can tell Lightroom to import the CR2 files into its library, but to leave theme where they are on the disk

Im moving it all very quicky supprisingly. I have to pay lightroom its thanks here. Im very much enjoying it and finding it 80% easiler to arrange, organise and delete.

By the end of today I might of just found a quick way to deleting a good 20 Gigs of unwanted work.

Yes, it's great for scrolling through reams of pictures, using the x (flag as delete) and p (pick) keys!
