A few photos of the new fountain in Nottingham's old market square from yesterday before i sent my D200 off for repair.

No processing, just a quick re-size and watermark in aperture. (i know a couple could do with a bit of clone work)

Great shots! how long has that been open? last time I was there is was just a load of rubble, looks nice now though! but only a matter of time before someone empties a load of washing up liquid in there and it is one big load of bubbles! Nice work :)

They finished the building work last week, and someone has already done the old trick of adding washing up liquid to the fountain. Looked quite ammusing with all the bubbles.

great set there andy. i must get down there to take some myself. i would like to see a shot with the town halls full reflection in the water!!

Not been into town for ages, must go for a nite out soon - Wonder if they'll still put the tree up in the Square at Xmas? Might be a bit crowded now...

As has already been mentioned, I used to enjoy visiting the old square just to see if any hoodlums had done the washing up liquid trick, used to make me smirk...... Nottingham really is a growing city these days, and so much to offer for the street/urban photographers amongst us.

going into town tomorrow night so will have a look, i agree a good reflection shot would work very well.
