Yep it's true... 4 vessels from the German Navy are currently moored in Canary Wharf after arriving there today. Looked out of my office window around 3pm to see them entering the dock. Luckily, I had the camera with me! The next hour was spent out in the freezing cold trying to get some decent shots... The light was bleeding awful too! As for the ships, there's 3 "Minehunters" and 1 supplies ship.

The funny thing is that they're moored up next to the boat that carried Churchill's body during his state funeral. Wonder what he'd have made of the German's mooring up in London.... :shrug:

What a fantastic opportunity! Great stuff too bad the sun couldn't have been a bit more helpful and dramatic.

I didn't, but did find myself subconsciously whistling the Dambusters tune on several occasions.... :lol:
