Well... taken with the 180L macro anyway.:D
It's a game of extreme patience and stillness to get this close but finally...

ISO 200 1/320th at f4. 20D and 180L macro.

Just shows what you can achieve with a moderate lens :thumbs:

Thanks fellers. These were at about 5 feet and they're easily spooked by the shutter noise.
I really should make more use of this lens, apart from it's macro capability it's a tack sharp medium tele lens over the whole range.
Mealy worms by the way if you want to attract these guys. They like the fat balls but they go nuts over mealy worms.

Oldgit stole my word! Stunning just stunning. The detail is fantastic. I just don't have the patience for this type of photography but I sure enjoy it when others do.
