Hi guys (and girls)
Iv just bought Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM to go on my 5D
iv read all the commets on here about this lens and the common factor seems to be its lack in the low light department, due to the fact that the 5D laughs at low light, i thought this would make a good walkabout lens as at my age i need the IS, what do you think? have i got it wrong again?
thanks for looking.

There have been quite a few negative comments about this lens on TP but from my experience (about three years continuos use - working) the only real problem is its slightly fragile construction. Be wary when walking about not to leave the lens extended or allow it to extend by gravity. A slight knock can but the extended lens out as the focus pins inside seem weak. I had mine fixed when this happened to me and the techy replace the original pins with some of his own. No probs. after that. Best to carry camera with lens attached in crock of your arm rather tha over shoulder.
