Inspired by BALDYMAN I've had a go at a flower portrait!
The flowers are a spray of lilies from my birthday bouquet that I got for the 17th (lasting well!)
The backdrop is one of my black skirts hung on a hook on the wall and it's lite by a desk lamp with a daylight bulb in. :D
It's not perfect by any means, maybe I'll make it into a card for my Mum.

Well I for one like it. You've done great work with your blue peter set up! I have a blue peter set up to. Don't know what I would do if I got proper lights.

Ha ha! Blue Peter, I like that :D a girl's gotta improvise, my boyfriends already forked out over £400 on the camera, xd cards and a tripod so I daren't complain dare I?

The encouragement that is to be had here is phenomenal.

That is a VERY good shot. One of the better flower shots I've seen in a long time :thumbs:

And to have you say that Mr oldgit is something else! not been here long but I already know that you shoot from the hip ;)

Blimey Susane - i didn't know you were only 17!!!! :D

lovely shot and very well composed - I would keep the background slightly further away though as some texture is showing through. A minor niggle for a great shot :thumbs:

17th of March Jonny! :lol: I'm a bit older than 17.
I've adjusted my monitor back and forth and I can't see any texture?
Do you have a 'state of the art' monitor or do I need glasses?

:lol: Just my morning tease:D

Its hardly state of the art - its my work laptop so i may be seeing a brighter image than normal. I'll have another look from home tonight but, if its being picked up an extra inch or two in distance can only help.

I am not really into flowers n stuff but that shot is superb.Such talent from one so young. Wonder what wonderful work you will be doing when you get to Janices age. I can say that cause Janice & I have an "understanding"
