As per the title. Apart from Calumet, does anyone know of reliable UK stockists for Profoto equipment? For buying not for renting. Not that I have anything against Calumet, I just want to make sure I shop around. I have Googled, but would rather have recommendations from others.

Many thanks for the link Harry, but I was hoping to get a recommendation from someone who has actual dealings with a supplier. :)

What's wrong with Calumet, prob the best pro gear shop left?

As I said in my opening post, nothing against them at all. I just find that it's worth shopping around sometimes.

I doubt if you would get Profoto gear at any worthwhile discount anyway, compared to Calumet. Why should they, it's a premium brand and supply is controlled.

Don't like the built in reflector though, seems to me to be a design flaw.

Just like Elinchrom's 7mm shafts.

The built-in reflector is on the D1 range only. Probably, not so much a design flaw as a cunning way to get still more money from their already premium-priced products. You can use an optional glass dome which apparently gives a more "normal" spread of light (i.e. similar to the older heads).

It seems like too much of an obvious oversight for a company like Profoto to make.
