my first bullfinch

I've always loved bullfinches but they are quite difficult to find nowadays they were heavilly culled for their crop eating habits. i was over the moon to get a few shots of this male nibbling on some tender buds the other sunday.

Well done you got your first shot. Now you are hooked. Next time try to get the eye in as well. Not easy when I have no doubt you were exited I know.
When I was young I had one of these for a pet. It could not fly properly but it used to sit parrot fashion on my shoulder. Great wee pal.

Not bad for a first one Elvis ... :thumbs: ... thing about these beauties is getting the head and eye detail sorted cos it's black on black ... ;)
