View Full Version : Ricoh announces GX-100
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/images/ricoh_gx100.gifRicoh has announced the successor to its Caplio GX8 digital camera. Among the headline features are a 24-72mm (equiv.) zoom lens and a slim body measuring just 25mm deep. Possibly the camera's most interesting new feature is a removable electronic viewfinder, a world first for Ricoh.

Looks interesting. The design seems to take more than a bit from the excellent GR series cameras. Wonder if there's a GR-D2 in the works too?

It will be a GREAT camera if it can improve on the noise issues which afflicted it's predecessor. I had one for a short time, and the quality of captures was superb - at all speeds less than ASA 200!! The quality of the lens was phenomenal! I've just noticed that the new one has a zoom lens.....hmmm. I wonder if the new lens is as sharp as the last one.
