My first posting with photos.

Taken on an Olympus 2.1 megapixel point and click with a 10x zoom.

Have invested since these were taken in a DSLR but still getting to grips with it.

Please feel free to let me know how I could have improved these so I know for next time.

Thanks

Hi Andrea and :welcome: to the forums  I would say the composition is very good in both photos although it would be nice if Molly's eyes were open  However, they are a bit over exposed. The white hightlights are blown, especially in No1. It looks like they were shot in strong sunlight which is always going to be tricky. What you need to do is under expose the shot a little. Not sure how you'd do that on your Olympus but on a DSLR you simply dial in some exposure compensation (up or down depending on the situation). HTH :)

Aww! lovely dogs there Andrea!
Agree with Grendel on the exposure, maybe have a play with them in PS or whatever softwhere you use.

I love the composion in both pics, and although I know its usually good to see the eyes of the subject, in the case of the 2nd pic, I actually like that Molly's eyes are closed.
For me, it adds to the summery feeling of the pic, as if she's just chilling and taking in the rays .... nice!
