Well today has been a crazy loop of emotions for me!
I got an interfit 150EX studio kit the other day and decided to set it up today. WHAT A HASSLE!!!
First of all, it had bludi european 2 prong plugs for lights. So after trying a shaver adapter, I blew the fuse of the adapter, so I went to the local hardware shop and bought 2, 3 prong plugs, and changed the power source to these. That worked.
Next, I had to construct the softbox... man was that a mission!! After about 45mins of losing my cool I finally had it constructed!
Then the umbrella would not fit into the right hole, despite all my pushing and shoving! Turns out it was slightly bent so I bent it back and it went in fine!
Then the tripod stands weren't working steadily, after about 15mins I found a fix for that.
Anyway!
So, now everything is working, and I get to put it to the main use why I got it! To take some photographs of my dad, as he is unable to come to my college studio becuase he has Parkinsons Disease and is unable of walking or anything and finds such situations uncomfortable. So this was ideal, he was comfortable at home and in his chair. So I set up my lights and fired a few test shots off.
These are by no means technically good, as I was really just testing the lights settings. Only side lighting.
Ok enough talking, here are the images... my favourite is between 3 and 4.
