Grrr Elements issue

Ok I have been editing pics and I've noticed a problem. I get the picture just how I want it and then save as a jpg. It looks just fine in Elements BUT if I go into My Pictures it look completely different. Usually much darker. Then if I say ok I'll fix it and open it back up in Elements it looks like it is supposed to. So my question is. If I upload a pic which one is it going to look like and WHY WHY WHY?????

Go to Edit, colour settings, and click No colour management.

That way Elements will show you images the same way as everything else. I find this the most difficult thing to get to grips with, to keep an image looking the same on my web browser, my image software and in print not to mention other peoples pcs.
