A self portrait test using side lighting... couldn't get the focus right, need to buy a remote shutter release so it can autofocus when I'm infront of the lens.

I've been trying to do this (not on myself though!) - What kind of lighting did you use?

I like it (but then I like anything slightly Mapplethorpe style :) ) I know how difficult this is to do.

Ohh nice I like this quite a bit. I think you did fairly well on the focusing.

I really like this, but it works better for me if you lose the dark side of the face altogether?

That's pretty good Col. I'd like to see a tad more detail in the shadow but I also like CT's edit. Good stuff :thumbs:
