Hi

Gonna purchase the Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 and am looking for a good head for the monopod for it.

Currently just have a ball head. Will this be ok or do you think i need something more substantial?

Thanks

Luke

I tried a ball head with mine but couldn't get on with it (but then I've yet to find anything I really like a ball head for...) I've got a Jobu gimbal head that I use on a monopod with this lens, it works really well. http://www.tripods-heads-gimbals.com/products/gimbals/jobu_design_gimbal_heads/

depends what grade of ball head you have at the moment. A small one may be too weedy.
