More often than not my signature does not show at the bottom of a post. Is it something I've done or an intermittent problem ? Not a big issue but wondered if it affected others as well.

It depends on how many words/characters you type in a comment. Can't remember what the limit is, but under s certain amount, signature does not show, over that amount and it does. Does that make sense?

Yes that does. Is the logic to stop people typing short posts just to get their ridiculously long signatures posted (usually including a link to their website) ?

I need to be more long-winded in future!

LOL No, it's two reasons really.

It's mainly to stop the forums becoming overcrowded.
The rules for signatures is that a members signature only gets shown once per page, and only if the post is over 30 words long. Just keeps the forums tidy really :)

Reminds me of Inspector Grim from The Thin Blue Line:

"my arse is on the line and I don't want a cock up"

 :D

... and Grim's further retort: "'cause you know what'll happen Raymond, don't you - it'll be your cock up - my ar$e!" ...

btw I prefer his classic quote: "This can be summed up in one word - organised crime"

Love the fact that you say that, then both your posts on this thread have your sig :p - Are Admins "Special"?

Well we took a vote for admin perks. It was either this, or dancing girls.

Unfortunately, I was the only one who voted for dancing girls. :(
