This rapeseed has been catching my eye on my way out of work for a few days and thought I'd try and do a reckie last night, so I could do a good shoot over the weekend (More blue sky !!!)

So I parked up, trecked downhill for 1/2 to find a gap in a fence, clambered over, back up the hill, through barbed wire and struggled into the field - knackered, took some shots and worked out where to set up for next time.
Did the reverse then after taking the shots, got back to the car exhausted and then noticed just behind my car was a bl&^(*dy stye leading straight into said field. :bang:

Morale of story, do your research properly first !!! :bonk:

Anhow, here's the shot I grabbed ... Hopefully more to come this weekend.

Very nice Neil...and unusual compared to the usual shots of this crop, Canola, with the bright yellow and the blue sky.

What a gorgeous sky. The yellow of the rapeseed and the sky really works well together.

Funny isn't it, I was actually after a classic Blue sky shot as Janice mentions. I'll be back up there tomorrow morning I think, If I don't go up the Beacons...

When I saw the title I was expecting the old yellow and blue bit but what a pleasant surprise. This really is a classy shot Neil - well done!

Fantastic! I spent many hours staring out over that stuff in my shooting days - pigeons love it. ;) That's a really different take on the theme. :)

How gorgeous!
I think we all automatically expect to see acid yellow against vivid blue with this crop.
To see such warm colours unfold was quite a (lovely) surprise

It would be interesting to see a blue sky shot from the same position :)
