View Full Version : Remains of the Pier
A few shots from yesterday of all that remains of the West Pier in Brighton. It's a very ghostly scene, just sitting there in the water, derelict :(

Really like the mono version (#2). Adds to the derelict feel.

When I looked I was trying to work out whether it was mono or not. Still looks very effective and my favourite of the bunch.

Love number 2. Was there much processing in that one?

Sneaky new thread starter
Loving number three - I wasn't happy with mine taken in that direction

That is actually the least processed of the set. All I did was a seperate RAW conversion for the sky to bring out some colour, then merge the two together. I then tweaked the levels a little and adjusted the curves to bring out some contrast. Sharpened using usm. I have tried a mono conversion on the shot but it doesn't work for me, the natural hint of colour gives the shot an almost ghostly feel imo
