I do not have a good relationship with battery chargers. Perhaps I work them too hard I don't know. I'm on my fourth in as many years, so I went for what I thought was the top of the range, an Ansmann digispeed 4, which has worked flawlessy until now.
One of my batteries leaked a tiny amount during charging. The leaked fluid didn't go though the vents, so I cleaned it up and chucked the battery.
However, I noticed next time I put batteries in it wasn't working. I tried again 5 minutes later and the lights came on but went off again when i put a battery in it.
So now it seesm that putting a battery in it cuts out and has to 'cool down' for five minutes then will work again, but as soon as I put a battery in, it goes again. I rook it aprt to see if there was any damage from the battery fluid, but it is clean, so am at a loss to see what is wrong.
Because it charges a single cell at a time, i can't see how one faulty cell could have caused the whiole charger to fail.
Any ideas?
Cheers
