As the weather was nice and warm (about 20° in the afternoon - not bad for early April) me and the missus went for a picnic and drive. Started in Scunthorpe, went down to Robin Hood Airport (nothing happening though), went down to Bawtry and then Blyth in Nottinghamshire. Carried on and chanced upon a place called Roche Abbey ( "http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/server.php?show=conProperty.378") - took loads of photos there. Then a slow drive via Worksop and Rufford Country Park in Sherwood Forest. Again loads of photos were taken...
Then back towards home via Ollerton, Tuxford, Gainsborough then back to Scunthorpe. All in all it was an eight hour excursion. Very nice weather and here's a shot taken from near the start of the journey - a field next to Robin Hood Airport.
