View Full Version : Morning by the tarn
On top of the Lancashire hill with the great name of Nicky Nook, is a tarn that is unimaginatively called The Tarn! I took this shot in the early morning, as the low cloud began to rise and the day brightened.

Very moody and looks a bit windswept too, I like it :)
That's brilliant........very atmospheric.
Nicky Nook, I knew someone called that I think....oh no, that was Nooky Nick!! :D
Thanks for the comments Steep & Janice. Atmosphere was what I tried to get in this shot. It required a bit of waiting until the clouds lifted - it was a pea-souper to start with. Er, Janice, are you sure you're not confusing Nooky Nick with Dirty Den  .

Nice shot that
Thanks for the comments Dark Star, Juckle & Baldyman. During normal daylight hours this is a very ordinary spot. The low cloud made the difference here.
Regards, Tony
This is really a nice photograph. Love the quiet "misty" feel. Great work, Tony
