Why is it if you go to the gallery from the forums you don't get the 'login' option that you get if you go to www.thephotographyforums.com/gallery ?

because the gallery in the forums is a display only version, where as the gallery url above is the full gallery with login etc...

I was wondering that too.

How do I change my password? When I click on preferences it just lists User name/Full name/e-mail.

Yes, we built the gallery into the site so that it fits our theme and matches the rest of the site for the majority of viewers. Its only after you have logged into it to upload or amend images that you see the full gallery options. As you have to be a member of the forums to get a free gallery, it is also a better option to remove anything that may mislead the casual viewer.

Oh right - I thought that if you clicked on gallery from the main site (not the forum) you got the full view, just realised you don't! I understand why you've done it that way now!!

No both links (from the forums and the main site) lead to the integrated pages for the casual viewer. It's only after a personal gallery has been set up do we usually give you a direct link to allow you to login, thats when you see the non integrated view.

I hope that makes sense and has cleared it all up now.? :)
