Just back from a week on the Suffolk coast. Not going to bore everyone with every obscure little bird taken but here's a few (best get them out of the way on one thread)

All great shots Andy.
Looks like you are getting on well with the D2X.
Great shots Andy, just wondering - do you work from a hide at all?
more great bird shots, really impressive!
Very nice shots there :)
What lens did you use for the pic of the harrier?

Thanks everyone.

I used a hide for the Wheatear shot but all the others are without.... usually just sitting and waiting but well wrapped up in realtree camo. The hide is a realtree dome from Kevin Keatley http://www.wildlifewatchingsupplies.co.uk/domehide.htm

I used a Sigma 500mm f4.5 + Nikon TC-14E 1.4x teleconverter
the only problem with looking at other peoples work is that the piccies i took of raptors last weekend i thought were really good, then i look at other peoples and realise that they were only OK and i still have a long way to go before i get shots like these..onward and upward though!
I've just got myself some realtree camo.
Just need to get something to cover the camera/lens and tripod now.

The Keatley covers just get in my way so I use tape as much as possible, though I don't seem to be able to get the 'no mark' fabric tape anymore, just a vinyl type. I usually take a lens cover with me for weather protection, the camera can look after itself as far as most rain showers go.
Just don't get too carried away Matt :D
