Hi, well this post is really a story of a bit of luck I had this week. The RBS U18 international tournament is being held this week in Glasgow. On Sunday I went along to 2 games in the hope of getting some shots for my porfolio.
Took some pics of France v Wales and Italy v Ireland.
Previously I just happened to to put up on my website that I was going to the games in my upcoming event page for April.
This morning I got a an e-mail from a staff writer who writes for the Irish Rugby Unions website. Basically they were looking for a photographer in Glasgow and was browsing the web when came across my site and that it mentioned I was going to the game....did I have any shots from the Ireland game.
I said I did and uploaded a proof web page for him to view them. Next e-mail is an offer to purchase the images and could I cover the next two games for them. Could I! you bet I could. So the deal was stuck.
Tonight , I went and shot the France v Ireland game and got some good shots and the winning try celebration. You can see it here. http://www.irishrugby.ie/283_7881.php
So........its always worth thinking about what you put on your website....you may think no one reads it but you never know who IS reading it :) Roll on Saturday, England v Ireland.
