Well exposed considering that bright backlight. His tail looks in better focus than his head ?

I took about 20 pics of this little so and so... in a friends garden....
I under exposed by 1 1/3 stop on meter reading.... and for the first 15 shots..... i forgot to turn on the IS....... grrrrrrrr.
I know what you mean about the focus though.... im finding it difficult to hold the centre AF point steady....where I want it too focus...( must learn to use the focus ring)
